Manage Events¶
Open Event Management to review upcoming, draft, published, cancelled, and past events.
Create an event¶
- Select Create event.
- Enter the event name, date, start time, end time, and location.
- Add event notes when helpful to managers or leaders.
- Choose Draft or Published.
- Select all teams or choose specific teams.
- Create the event.
Selecting a team creates the team schedule that its leaders will fill.
Draft and published events¶
- Draft events can be prepared without presenting the schedule as final.
- Published events are active serving opportunities and can trigger member-facing reminders.
Edit an event¶
Open an event and select Edit. Changes to the date or time can affect existing assignments. Review the Schedule Impact section before saving.
When a change creates conflicts, Serve may require an override reason. Coordinate with team leaders and affected volunteers before changing a scheduled event.
Cancel an event¶
Cancel an event when it will not occur. Cancellation preserves appropriate history and updates related scheduling information. Restore or republish only when the event will proceed and leaders have reviewed its schedules.
Team schedules¶
An event detail page lists participating teams and assignment counts. Open a team schedule to review or manage its positions when you also have the required team permissions.
