Profile and Notifications

Open your profile menu and select Profile to manage your personal details and notification preferences.

Profile information

You can update your first name, last name, U.S. mobile phone number, and profile image. Your sign-in email is managed with your account and may not be directly editable.

Use a clear, appropriate profile photo. Uploaded images must meet the size and file-type requirements shown in Serve.

Notification preferences

Serve supports email, text, and app notifications. First enable a channel, then choose which categories may use it.

Categories include:

  • Assignment requests.
  • Assignment reminders.
  • Schedule changes.
  • Leader alerts when a volunteer declines.

Some categories only apply to people with leadership responsibilities.

Text notifications require a valid U.S. mobile number and explicit consent. Read the displayed messaging terms before enabling texts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.

Disabling texts in your profile or opting out by text prevents future SMS delivery until consent is provided again through the supported process.

App notifications

App notifications use your browser or installed web app. When enabling them:

  1. Allow notifications when your browser asks.
  2. Keep App notifications enabled in your profile.
  3. Enable the desired categories in the App column.

The notification bell shows unread activity. You can open a notification, mark one as read, or mark all notifications as read.

Appearance

Use the theme control in the app to switch between light and dark appearance. Your choice is saved on that device.
